I agree with you 100%. My story although not as long, is similar.

I have bought over $25,000 worth of items from Sears over my 30 years as a long standing customer. I had an appointment that was set two weeks ago with Sears for a service call on my dishwasher. I get a call, right when they're supposed to be here (noon) telling me that they're not coming due to weather (we have about 3 inches of snow) and the next appointment is 6 days from now. Not 1 or 2 days - 6 days. WOW! I might add that it's been snowing since last night, so they knew this morning if they weren't coming today, why wait until the middle of the appointment to call me. I took off from work. I called a manager and he said sorry, but there's nothing he could do. I agree with the other commenter that said that managers at Sears have no authority to help you. That kind of treatment is unacceptable. I guess Sears doesn't worry about customer service. Do the employees not work Overtime? I'm a manager at my company and every company I've worked for has employees work overtime during situations like this to take care of customers. Evidently Sears doesn't care. I guess they have more customers than they need and don't care about bad publicity.

I'm with you, I still haven't put up my bio photo on my site b/c I am obsessing over whether my hair should be up or down, color or B&W, posed or candid, and how to Photoshop away my double chin and make my skin glow like a 20 yr old. I haven't even begun to worry about the actual clothing to wear in the photo. If I take a totally "honest" pic it would be of me in sweatpants with my hair mussed up from my mid-day nap. I would totally be on a What Not to Wear classics reel. Okay, now officially worried about it.

I feel ya! Originally from Houston, I now live in Georgia and I always look enviously at patterns in knitting mags. I've finally just resigned myself to the fact that I will never get to wear the items, but I'm gonna knit them anyway. Growing up in Houston, I remember starting the school year in my brand new sweaters and sweating my butt off. I've always been jealous of people who can "layer" clothing. Like that is really gonna happen in the South. :)

This may be difficult to believe, but I don't own an iPod, or any other digital music device. I've been eyeing them, but still haven't taken the plunge...

So send your old CDs my way, sister! This old dinosaur would really enjoy them.

We're in pretty much the same boat. I called about our television not working back on Nov 24th and it's STILL not been repaired.

I'll never shop Sears again.
