What is “Blog with Integrity”?
Check it out. For me, blogging with integrity means being transparent and honest in “all I blog”. For example, if I make a product recommendation or a referral you – my readers should know if I am compensated for that review or referral. If I use a picture from another site, it is done so with respect for that artist’s or artisans’ copyright and intellectual property rights.
So, speaking of ‘blogging with integrity’ … are you compensated for recommending a product?
Largely, no. I do have affiliate accounts with drugstore.com and Amazon.com. Thereby, if you were to purchase an item from either place via a link from my site I may be entitled to a small commission. We’re talking like a $1 or so. It does depend on the product. If you are a blogger or publisher, then you are also able to sign up for these programs and have a shot at a small commission.
Most of the time I just link to items or sites that I fine and like.
